“…Sing a song full of the faith that the dark past has taught us,

Sing a song full of the hope that the present has brought us,

Facing the rising sun of our new day begun,

Let us march on till victory is won.”

(From the Hymn “Lift Every Voice and Sing.” Words from poet, James Weldon Johnson)

Please consider supporting this important ministry on Cape Cod, serving elders and low income families who do not have the resources to purchase paper products: toilet paper, paper towels, Depends, shampoo, soap, and other personal items. St. David’s Paper Pantry in South Yarmouth is open one afternoon a month, the 3rd Wednesday of the month, filling an unmet need. Too often the pantry closes in the first hour because all items have been given away to needy clients. This is a great fundraising project for youth groups, women’s and men’s mission teams, special event collections. For more info please call Nancy at (508)394-4222.

Immediate local emergency housing, food and transportation available. Serving individuals & families in the communities of Barnstable County, Martha's Vineyard & Nantucket who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. If you or someone you know is in crisis and have no place to stay tonight, call the Crisis Hotline at 1-888-656-2233 to connect with an experienced advocate who can arrange local overnight emergency housing until the next business day. You will meet with an advocate the following day to help you access available resources and supportive services.

The Veterans Crisis Line (1-800-273-8255, Press 1) is available 24/7/365 to provide confidential counseling and referrals for Veterans and their families. This is an integrated national outreach effort to increase awareness and use of the Veterans Crisis Line, support and promote broader VA suicide prevention efforts, and promote help-seeking behaviors among Veterans at risk of suicide and other mental health problems.
