Fall Annual Appeal
Dear Friends and Partners,
As we move through this season of gratitude and joy, we are writing to ask for your renewed support of the work of the Cape Cod Council of Churches. Your generosity puts faith into action.
Your gift to our Annual Appeal makes possible all that we do together:
Feeding those who are hungry
Sheltering those without stable housing
Comforting those who suffer
Strengthening women and families as they care for their youngest
Equipping neighbors across Cape Cod and the Islands with hope and practical care.
“What shall I return to the Lord for all his bounty to me?”
The need is great—and so is the opportunity. Every dollar you give enables programs that reach people in moments of real hardship.
During this past year, the Council of Churches served 19,466 individuals, with the help of 387 volunteers, 91 church partners and 90 different community partners. We distributed almost half a million diapers to 5833 babies at A Baby Center. We served over 18,600 meals to 913 unduplicated guests at Faith Family Kitchen. We shared 17,781 bags of free groceries with 11,401 family members at Hands of Hope Food Pantry. Youth StreetReach connected area youth with our unhoused neighbors, while Covenant to Care and Hospital Chaplaincy provided foster families and patients with compassionate caring.
Psalm 116 reminds us that gratitude alone is not enough. It calls for response. “What shall I return to the Lord for all his bounty to me?” Each of us can answer that question in our own way. But together, our collective answer becomes a powerful witness to the good at work in our region.
