Holiday Programs at Hands of Hope
Thanksgiving and Christmas are special times for our clients and donors. And it is with great joy that Hands of Hope can offer assistance with both holiday food and Christmas gifts.
Currently, we are working with our partners to purchase and or donate, all the food and gifts we will need to have in place in order to assist the many applications we receive for these programs. Our Church and Civic partners have been contacted with information on needs and places to bring donations.
Families and any one in need of Holiday food assistance should come directly to our Pantry:
Monday: 10AM-3PM
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday: 1-3PM
Friday: 10AM-1PM
Wednesday 4-6PM beginning Nov. 2nd
We will have turkeys, and plenty of Holiday food items available in the Food Pantry. Clients can choose what they would like besides regular food they are used to receiving. Holiday related food will be available until we close for Christmas.
Starting November 2nd, we will begin taking names of families who would like to make an appointment for Christmas assistance. Families should call our Center at (508) 432-1312 and leave a voicemail. We will return their call and they will be given a date, time, and location to come and chose some gifts for their children. Families should be in need of this assistance, have children 18 and under attending school and living in their home, and live in the areas we can help:
Harwich Center
Harwich Port or West Harwich
Dennis
Yarmouth
All Barnstable Villages
Mashpee
Sandwich
If we cannot help because of their home location, we will refer them to other programs closer to where they live. We will take names and give appointments until the program begins in mid-December.
If you would like to volunteer to give out Christmas gifts, please contact Cathy Driscoll at Hands of Hope. We would love to have your help.
Hands of Hope wishes everyone the happiest of holidays.
