Reverend Philomena Hare is an authorized minister of the United Church of Christ, and serves as Senior Pastor of the First Congregational Church of Wareham, United Church of Christ, and brings over 30 years of experience in nonprofit leadership. With advanced degrees in social work and divinity, she offers expertise in nonprofit governance, board effectiveness, and team building to support healthy, mission-driven organizations.
She is honored to serve on the board of Cape Cod Council of Churches, drawn by its deep-rooted commitment to caring for our neighbors at the point of need—regardless of social status or background. This alignment of values and compassionate action makes the work especially meaningful.
Recognizing that all work and no play leads to burnout, Philomena finds joy and restoration in travel—and considers cooking a spiritual practice.
